During these unprecedented times, getting out on the water is the ultimate social distancing activity. We connected with a three-time Hinckley owner about his time during quarantine on his recently delivered Sport Boat 40X.
Attracted to outboard performance and serviceability, this owner was looking for a fast and seaworthy yacht to run to the Bahamas from their home in Palm Beach, FL, and relax on the intercoastal with family and friends.
40 feet of performance, power, and entertainment space was the draw to the Sport boat 40X. He’s enjoyed many early morning fishing trips, worry-free with the synthetic teak decking on the Sport Boat 40X. Relaxing days on the ocean swimming with his kids and meeting up with friends at sunset on the intercoastal were highlights of this boating season. With a canceled trip to the Bahamas this spring due to COVID-19, the owner and his family are looking forward to a swift commute when the time comes to put the Sport Boat 40X to the test.
Following a very active boating season with his family, the owner made one last run on the boat up to Hinckley Yacht Services in Stuart, FL before heading north for the summer. He recounted the day for us: it was just him and the boat, a beautiful day and almost dead calm on the ocean. The music was blasting with the throttle down at an exhilarating 46 mph all the way north from Palm Beach to Stuart. He said it really was a “good one,” and we can’t imagine a better way to end your boating season.
