The Dasher Electric Yacht
The Dasher Concept, launched in 2017 as the world’s first fully electric luxury yacht, signaled that the future of boating has arrived. Designed from the ground up for fully electric propulsion, Dasher achieved a new standard of excellence with modern styling paired with super lightweight construction. From her carbon-epoxy composite hull, to her hand-painted, lightweight Artisanal Teak, every ounce of weight was shaved and every curve sculpted.

The sound of silence
As a concept model, Dasher never made it into production, but set the course for a new wave of technological development at Hinckley Yachts.
Dasher would help Hinckley evolve the propulsion to the SilentJet hybrid system, now available on the Picnic Boat 40. Our silent Whisper Drive propulsion system is powered by dual BMW i3 lithium ion batteries. The goal was to create a serenity not easily found elsewhere, enabling those aboard to reconnect, share a conversation and enjoy quiet, quality time together while on the water, at speed.

Innovative And Sophisticated
The helm design from Dasher would pave the way for fully integrated digital switching on all of our models. The intuitive mode selection from Dasher’s control system would lead to the development of JetStick 4®. The carbon epoxy construction used on Dasher would lead to the construction of the Advanced Composite Center in Trenton, Maine, and ultimately become the post-cured carbon epoxy construction used on all Hinckleys today. Clearly, Dasher’s influence was felt throughout the Hinckley lineup and will be appreciated with every journey taken.
